Managing Director

Jim Horton

Mr. Horton has extensive experience in finance, management, and corporate strategy. He began his professional and financial services career working for Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. He later founded Andina Capital Management, a registered investment advisor, and H2M Capital, a venture capital fund. He currently sits on the board of Plansight, Giv.care, SymbioCellTech, and Ascent Academies. Mr. Horton studied Business and English at Brigham Young University, and received a Masters in Finance at the University of Oxford.

Legal Counsel

Andy Sellers

Mr. Sellers, a partner at Fabian VanCott, is outside general counsel for Mountain VC. Considered one of Utah’s top attorneys in venture capital, Andy represents the state’s most established companies (private and public), family offices, and private equity funds. In his 10 years at Fabian, Mr. Sellers represents clients in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital financings. He also advises clients on general business issues, such as formation, restructuring, governance, and commercial and contractual matters. Mr. Sellers has expertise in federal, state and international taxation, corporate governance and securities compliance, and incentive equity compensation. Mr. Sellers graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2013.
